Galaxy Consulting is owned by Andrew (Andy) Woodsworth. Andy has extensive experience as a senior manager with the National Research Council of Canada, including five years as Director General of the Institute of Information Technology and an extended period as Interim Vice-President, Life Sciences and Information Technology. He has a strong background in research management (particularly information technology) and in leading new initiatives. His major achievements included responsibility for NRC lead of Ca*net (first national internet in Canada), Canadian technical participation in a six-country international telescope project, and starting new research laboratories as the nuclei for developing technology clusters in several Canadian cities in Atlantic Canada and Quebec.
